Our Mission
The Carolina Covenant, a financial aid program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is a promise: Eligible low-income students who are admitted to Carolina can enroll
without worrying about how they will pay for it. And, if they work
10-12 hours per week in a Federal Work-Study job, they can graduate
debt-free. It's a promise that has altered the course of individuals, families, and communities and inspired other universities across the country to take its lead.
The Carolina Covenant Gives Back is an affiliated student-run program formed out of the desire to make the miracle of the Carolina
Covenant an even better gift for future scholars. Our Service Ambassadors further hone leadership skills, forge lasting friendships, and network with local nonprofit and student organizations as they plan a marathon of service projects. We are proud to manage the CEES Fellowships and to further the founding mission of the Carolina Experience Enrichment Scholarship (CEES) to amplify the impact of students at home and across the globe.
Fellowship awards are available to students who haven't yet studied abroad
or worked as an unpaid intern. And year by year, that many more students who proudly trip over Chapel Hill's bricks will walk away with the true Carolina experience, sense of global citizenship, and career preparedness valued highly by so many before them.
The 2013 CEES Summer Fellowship Applications will be available beginning late Fall! Submit all materials by Monday, March 5th at 11 pm for full consideration.
